ViaDermFMG
is a patent-pending rapid dermal delivery system, designed to carry the active ingredients
directly to the desired site. IbuCream is an OTC topical cream, containing
ViaDerm FMG, rapidly delivering ibuprofen USP, lidocaine, MSM, rosemary
and other proprietary ingredients to painful areas.
ViaDermFMG may be licensed to pharmaceutical
and cosmetic firms to deliver active agents in a transdermal
delivery system.
IbuCream can be used up to 4 times a day for chronic pain or just once
daily for acute trauma or inflammation of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, heel
spurs, gout, and other local pain management applications. Within minutes, anti-inflammatory
pain support is being provided for up to 2-4 hours or more. Natural rosemary's light
scent provides immediate cooling effects and the scent disappears within minutes.
Benefits of Topical
Creams
Topical delivery offers advantages over oral administration:
1) Use smaller amounts of active ingredients
2) Avoid liver metabolism
3) Avoid degradation of active ingredients in the g. i. tract
4) No stomach upset
Delivery System of the Future
Doctors around the world are calling topical creams "the delivery system of the future." It has been discovered that a high absorption
rate of many NSAIDs and pain-alleviating herbal extracts can be achieved when delivered through the skin.
While your skin acts as a barrier to water-soluble applications, fats have been proven to pass through the skin and carry pain relief
to inflamed soft tissue, such as muscle, ligament, and tendon.
Under Your Skin
The first layer of skin [epidermis] consists of laminated layers of epithelial cells which slows the evaporation of
water from the inside. Its surface [stratum corneum] is a network of furrows of different sizes.
Under the epidermis is the thickest layers of skin [dermis] which are rich in sebaceous and sweat glands, fat cells, lymph, blood
vessels and nerves.
Factors Affecting Skin Penetration
1) Oil solubility: the more oil soluble [lipophilic] the substance, the greater
the skin penetration.
2) The lower the molecular weight the smaller the molecule.
3) Creams, gels and liquids penetrate better than solids.
4) Penetration enhancers improve topical absorption of lipophilic
substances.
95% Delivery
Studies have shown that when NSAIDs and nutrients are taken orally, as little as 5% make it to the area of inflammation where
they are needed. This is because of the stomach, liver and digestive system re-arranging and discarding much of them.
Summary
Our proprietary "Patch Free" cream base technology, ViaDerm FMG, containing exclusive Penetration Enhancers,
offers a safer, quick-acting, and easier-to-comply alternative to capsules and tablets.
